If you are 16 years old by October 27th and participated in the CareerReady SYEP 2025, you are eligible to apply for the fall Work, Learn, and Grow program.
Work, Learn, and Grow Overview:
• 22-week-long program
o starting October 27th, 2025
o ending March 28th, 2026
• Two phases of programming
o Phase 1: CUNY Class + Provider Led sessions (stipend pay)
Students earn 1 CUNY credit after completing a college-level course provided by Kingsborough Community College
o Phase 2: Internships (wages)
Minimum wage will increase to $17/hour as of January 1st, 2026
• Biweekly pay
Eligible Youth:
• Current Manhattan Center student
• at least 16 years old by October 27th, 2025
• Participants of SYEP 2025
• Reside within the 5 NYC boroughs
• Can legally work within the U.S.
Applications will be released on October 6th. HANAC staff will provide application and enrollment support from October 6 to October 24.
